the owners of the hotel were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to offer advice on local attractions and were always willing to assist with any requests. the location of the hotel was also very convenient, being situated between two popular destinations - the beautiful La Fortuna Waterfall and the lively town of La Fortuna. Both were within walking distance, providing a good workout for those who enjoy hiking. Lastly, the rooms were spacious and had high ceilings, creating a comfortable and open atmosphere.

The lack of hanging space for clothes in the room. Having only shelves made it difficult to keep my clothes organized and wrinkle-free.

However, the location of the lodge is convenient, with the town and the La Fortuna Waterfall within walking distance. I had an incredible stay at this lodge! The cabinas were secluded amongst lush foliage, giving it a unique rainforest camping feel. The room was spacious, with a fridge and a surprisingly roomy shower. The owners were exceptionally kind and responsive, even treating me to a private concert. They also helped me practice my Spanish skills, making my stay all the more memorable. The location was perfect, within walking distance of downtown La Fortuna and the chocolate tour. I highly recommend this lodge for a fantastic experience.

The family was incredibly nice and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The breakfast they served in their house was delicious and the nearby restaurant, Arenal Green, was fantastic. Despite a small hiccup with the GPS location, the lodge is conveniently located on the main road to the waterfall. we highly recommend this lodge for a warm and cozy stay.

I had a fantastic stay surrounded by lush plants in the wooden lodges. The hotel's location in a quiet area outside of town was perfect, with taxis available and attractions just a short ride away. I loved being able to walk to a beautiful waterfall nearby. The mini-market and restaurant were convenient, and the breakfast provided by the helpful and friendly staff was excellent. The fast wifi was a bonus.

The location is perfect, away from the crowds but still close to everything. the rooms are comfortable and clean, with spacious showers and cozy beds. the hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming, offering great tips and even a private concert. the property is surrounded by lush tropical gardens, attracting hummingbirds and other birds. Plus, the breakfasts served in their home are fresh and tasty.

The wardrobe in the room could use a better hanging system, and the windows should have insect/animal barriers.

We loved Selvita Lodge! Adrian and Irene were incredibly welcoming and the breakfast they served each morning was delicious. The bungalows were clean and spacious, with a beautiful garden full of birds. The owners were very helpful and provided great advice on activities in the area. The location was convenient, close to the hot springs and other attractions. Adrian even walked us to our bungalow at night with a flashlight. a peaceful and friendly place to stay.

I had a fantastic stay at Selvita Lodge! I was visiting La Fortuna for a few days and Selvita Lodge was the perfect place to relax and explore. The cabin I stayed in had a breathtaking view of the Arenal Volcano and the room was always clean. Irene and her husband were incredibly helpful, organizing tours and shuttles for me. The breakfast was delicious and the property's gardens were beautiful. The location was great, with the La Fortuna Waterfall nearby and a supermarket within walking distance.

The breakfast offered at the hotel was delicious and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. The location of the hotel was also great as it was away from the main town, providing a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. the cabinas had a fridge and good air conditioning, which made the stay more comfortable.

One negative aspect was the lack of basic cooking facilities in the cabinas. It would have been nice to have the option to cook simple meals.

We had an amazing time at this lovely lodge! the owner/manager was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. the breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. the bathroom was spacious and the shower was clean, beautiful, and had warm water. We also liked the fact that the lodge was family-friendly, perfect for our kids. the staff was accommodating and made us feel right at home. the view from our porch was beautiful, and the surrounding gardens were filled with birds and flowers. the private cabin had a comfortable bed, good air conditioning, and even had Netflix. the late checkout allowed us to enjoy a nice hike to the nearby waterfall.

once we found it, navigating around the area was easy. the hotel did not offer as many amenities as larger hotels, but this didn't bother us much as we were looking for a more relaxed and intimate experience.
